Google will soon launch the Find My Device network in the Benelux. With it, all kinds of devices can be traced via Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi. So they do not need to be connected to the Internet.

The network is similar to what Apple and Samsung, for example, have been offering for some time.

Bluetooth trackers from Tile, Chipolo and Pebblebee, among others, receive support for this network, as do audio devices such as Pixel Buds and Sony headphones.

Ht Find My Device network for Android was first announced in 2023, but was delayed because the devices sent unwanted alerts to Apple hardware. With iOS 17.5, that has been fixed.

The location is visible only to the user and those who have gained access through Find My Device.
