Alten announced on Friday evening the departure of its Chief Operating Officer, Gérald Attia, who has decided to devote himself to a new professional project.

Gérald Attia joined Alten when the company was founded 33 years ago, and since 1998 has held the position of Chief Operating Officer in charge of Development and International 2 (Asia, North America and
Eastern Europe).

He was also a member of the company's Board of Directors.

In a reaction note, analysts at Invest Securities point out that the executive played a "crucial" role within the technology group, of which he was in charge of almost 40% of the business, since he headed up the geographical areas generating the main organic growth.

His departure, which is not expected to be replaced at this stage, could have a temporary impact on the company's business, and will certainly raise questions", continues the brokerage firm.

"Alten's organization and seriousness in terms of execution could nevertheless limit this impact", adds Invest.

On the Paris Bourse, Alten shares were up 0.8% in early trading on Monday morning, compared with a 1% rise for the SBF 120 index.
