Alstom and DT Infrastructure announce that they have signed a contract worth one billion euros with the Western Australian Public Transport Authority, for high-capacity signalling technology for the Perth suburban rail network.

The contract, the world's largest signalling project in terms of line length, involves the supply of Alstom's Urbalis CBTC technology, installed by DT Infrastructure's expert local teams.

Once completed, the project will enable Perth to increase its network capacity by 40%. It will include enhanced cyber security, energy savings and a new multi-purpose communications system based on an LTE private radio network.
