ALSO : adding Samsung smartphones to its range

In May 2017 ALSO is expanding its successful cooperation with Samsung, adding the manufacturer's smartphones to the product range.

Monitors, large-format displays, tablets, SSD and memory cards, CloudStations and TV and home cinema devices... even more products are being added to the already very large Samsung portfolio at ALSO Schweiz in May 2017. The leading Swiss logistics provider and the South Korean electronics manufacturer have had a highly successful partnership in place for years. Now Samsung smartphones will be complementing the existing ALSO assortment.

'The ALSO Services unit has been highly active in the mobile segment for years, providing Product Finishing and return & repair services. Bachmann Mobile Kommunikation AG has again substantially expanded our competency in this area,' commented Tom Brunner, Head of Division Supply and member of the ALSO Schweiz AG Executive Board. 'We will be offering new business models for Samsung smartphones and marketing managed and secure mobility to Swiss businesses.'

The goal is to actively approach the Swiss B2B market via ALSO IT resellers and dealers, thereby opening up a new business area for resellers. In addition to sales, ALSO will be providing smartphones under usage contracts as part of the company's 'Workplace as a Service' (WaaS) model. Resellers can add smartphones to expand their workplace offerings, and of course customise these by incorporating their own proprietary services.

'The expanded partnership between ALSO and Samsung now opens up the smartphone market to IT resellers and system integrators. The WaaS usage model via the ALSO Cloud Marketplace makes it possible to tailor individual customer-specific workplace solutions,' added Daniele Casella, Head of Sales Mobile B2B at Samsung Switzerland.
