Air Canada customers worldwide had flights delayed Thursday night and Friday morning on account of a system failure in the airline's check-in kiosks, according to a globalnews.ca report. Travelers at airports in the U.S., China, Japan and Switzerland posted complaints on Twitter.

A Vancouver International Airport spokesperson said staff were manually checking-in people. One photo showed Air Canada staff at the Zurich airport writing handwritten boarding passes.
