We are currently seeking an individual for the following vacancy in our Sales Department:

SALES ASSISTANT - VANCOUVER, BC

 Reporting to the Manager, Domestic OSB Sales, the Sales Assistant is responsible for customer service, invoicing, inventory control, order entry, program management, reporting and all administrative duties in the sales department in support of Sales Representatives, Market Development Representatives (MDRs), and Management.  The Sales Assistant role has a high degree of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, proven customer service skills as well as the ability to promote excellence as established in the Company vision, mission and values. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in day-to-day sales activities in support of Sales Reps, MDR's and Management by maintaining accurate sales documentation, daily coordination and communication between customers and peers
  • Invoice all sales orders in a timely fashion
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely  manner in regards to the availability of product, shipment details, and truck or railcar traces
  • Accurate order entry
  • Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reporting and data keeping
  • Process invoice adjustments for resolution of claims and complaints

As an ideal candidate, you have 1 to 2 years related industry experience and are a graduate of a recognized program in Office Management (diploma or degree). Customer service experience is required.  Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are key to this role.  Experience with Windows application software and the ability to learn new computer programs are a requirement.
