ADP : Aéroports de Paris : December 2012 traffic figures

2012 Traffic
2012 was a record year for Aéroports de Paris with 88.8 million passengers handled, up 0.8% compared to the previous year (88.1 million passengers in 2011). Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport welcomed 61.6 million passengers (+1.1%) and Paris Orly airport 27.2 million passengers (+0.3%). Traffic increased by 2.0% during the 1st half of 2012 and remained almost stable (-0.2%) during the 2nd half of the year.
Traffic mix remained positive with international traffic (excluding Europe) up by 1.7%, driven by Asia/Pacific routes (+5.1%). Except North America (-1.2%), all destinations increased: the Middle-East (+2.2%), Africa (+2.1%), Latin America (+1.9%) and the French Overseas Territories (+1.2%).
European traffic (excluding France) rose by 1.1% and traffic within France decreased by 1.7%.
The number of connecting passengers grew by 2.2% and the connecting rate reached 24.1%, i.e. an increase of 0.3 point.
Traffic from TAV Airports (owned at 38% by Aéroports de Paris) increased by 36.0%.
Traffic for December
In December 2012, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic decreased by 1.8% with 6.7 million passengers handled including 4.6 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-1.4%) and 2.1 million at Paris-Orly (-2.8%).
International traffic (excluding Europe) decreased slightly by 0.9%. Except Asia-Pacific (+4.4%) and Africa (+0.9%), others destinations were down : the Middle East (-2.2%) ; North America (-3.0%); the French Overseas Territories (-4.2%) and Latin America (-4.9%).
European traffic (excluding France) was down by 1.3% and Traffic within France fell by 4.9%.
The number of connecting passengers is slightly decreasing (-0.9%). The connecting rate stood at 25.9%, up by 0.2 point.
Traffic from TAV Airports (owned at 38% by Aéroports de Paris) increased by 34.0%.
