Aegon-CNOOC is an official partner of the Chinese TV show, Football Dream. Starting in September, thirteen one-hour episodes and daily 10 minute updates will be broadcast on primetime TV, achieving a total of 1.2 billion TV views.

Football Dream is a reality TV show in which professional coaches from Ajax and Everton search for the most talented Chinese football players. The 34 finalists, aged 14-17, have been selected from six cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian and Shenyang.

TV and Online Coverage

Aegon-CNOOC provides the players and production team with medical, emergency and accidental damage insurance. During the build up and the competition itself, Aegon-CNOOC will receive media exposure through televised shows, Football Dream's online platforms and coverage in a number of extended Football Dream articles. The Aegon-CNOOC logo will be clearly visible on the clothing of the Ajax trainers.

Local promotions and online games run by Aegon-CNOOC will generate excitement, with exclusive Ajax merchandising and insurance products as prizes. They will also use their Weibo account, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, to report breaking news from the program and release the videos of the outstanding skills of these football stars.

International Media Exposure

Media coverage will not be limited to China, with Aegon-CNOOC logos clearly visible in coverage in the Netherlands where half of the 34 young players selected by the Football Dream Program will attend professional training sessions with Ajax trainers.

Through this exchange with two of the world's top football clubs, Football Dream will inspire a new generation of footballers, and provide professional training for potential future professionals. The final prize will be an Ajax traineeship at De Toekomst, the training grounds of Ajax in Amsterdam.
