Abdulmohsen Al-Hokair Group for Tourism and Development Company reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net profit of SAR 20.2 million compared to SAR 31.9 million a year ago. Operating profit was SAR 20.8 million compared to SAR 27.5 million a year ago. The decrease in the operational profit and net profit in this quarter as compared with the same quarter of the last year is due to the decline in demand from corporate sector and individuals on hotels in addition to the decline in the current Omrah season. The decline is also due to the decrease in profit from the associate companies in this quarter as compared to the same quarter of last year as well as the increase in finance charges because of the major increase in SIBOR as compared with the same quarter of last year. For the year, the company reported net profit of SAR 147.6 million compared to SAR 189.8 million a year ago. Operating profit was SAR 141.1 million compared to SAR 170.9 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SAR 2.68 compared to SAR 3.45 a year ago.
