A2A has acquired 70 percent of Parco solare friulano 2, a company of EnValue Italia and Mse Solar Energy Italia that has obtained a permit to build and operate a photovoltaic plant in the municipalities of Santa Maria la Longa and Pavia di Udine (Udine), with an authorized capacity of 112.1 MWp.

According to a note, with more than 150 MWp total installed, this plant together with the one authorized in 2022 in the same municipalities for a capacity of 59.1 MWp will represent the main photovoltaic hub in the North of the country. More than 210 GWh will be produced annually to meet the electricity needs of more than 75,000 households, A2A points out.

"This project, the most relevant in the photovoltaic sector in Northern Italy, will make available to the territory and its productive fabric additional green energy, contributing to the decarbonization path of an area characterized by great industrial dynamism," commented the CEO of the multiutility, Renato Mazzoncini.
