Nagy comes to Wood Partners with several years of wide-ranging development experience in Portland. He was previously with Holland Partner Group, where he managed several high-profile projects currently under construction in the Portland metro area including the Platform District at Orenco Station, a multi-phased, mixed-use development with approximately 600 apartment units and 25,000 square feet of retail, and the Cameron Distribution Center, a 320,000-square-foot industrial project.

“Michael boasts both excellent development experience and an extensive knowledge of Portland, and we are truly thrilled to have him joining our team,” said Steve Yoon, Director of Wood Partners’ Northwest Region. “Michael’s deep understanding of the area’s multifamily market will serve as great insight and guidance as we aim to develop attractive units that connect our future residents with all that the Portland community has to offer.”

With Portland identified as a key market, Nagy will work to create new developments to appeal to Wood Partners’ target renter. In addition to planning new developments in the area, Wood Partners recently began leasing at Block 17, a luxury apartment community with 281 new units located in the Pearl District neighborhood.

“We have been impressed by the strength of the Portland market and look forward to having Michael serve as our permanent presence in the area,” said Brian Hansen, Development Director for Wood Partners’ West Region. “Portland offers a high job growth rate, low unit vacancy rate, fantastic transportation options, and unique culture that’s attractive to young professionals, families and empty nesters alike. We look forward to creating additional communities that will aim to enhance the quality of life of our future renters and allow them to truly immerse themselves further in the vibrancy of Portland.”

Nagy began his role with Wood Partners on January 4, 2016, and is based in Portland. For more information on Block 17, please visit www.block17apartments.com.
