In 2016, the power plants of PJSC Unipro generated 54.5 bln kWh, which is 1.4 % more compared to the same period of 2015. Over the reference period the electricity sales have totalled 58.2 bln kWh (+2.7 % compared to the previous year).
The generation volume growth in 2016 was driven by the increase in production at Surgutskaya GRES (+8.9%) due to the involvement of Unit 4 that was under repair in the first half of 2015. The generation volume of Berezovskaya GRES, Yaivinskaya GRES and Smolenskaya GRES decreased as a result of changes in repair schedules and downtime of the generating equipment placed on cold reserve.
In January-December of 2016, the heat generation has increased by 6 % as compared to the indicators of 2015 due to weather conditions, and totalled 2151.1 ths Gcal.
