The TED Conference is where some of the world’s most daring and inspiring ideas are not only heard for the first time, but experienced. It is where TED Talks originate: ideas delivered by innovative speakers that inspire, awe, and potentially even rewire the listener’s brain to consider a new perspective.

TED Cinema Experience brings the collective energy of the electrifying TED Conference to more than 500 select cinemas throughout the U.S. this April.

Three events from the sold-out TED2017 Conference in Vancouver, Canada, themed “The Future You,” will be broadcast to movie theaters across North America. “TED Cinema Experience” invites audiences across the U.S. to watch as extraordinary speakers give the talk of their lives and share new ideas worth spreading live from the TED stage. In keeping with TED2017’s theme, this year’s speakers and performers will unveil the freshest ideas and insights to help ask the questions about our future selves that we often don’t have time for.

“TED Cinema Experience,” presented by Fathom Events and BY Experience, will be shown live in U.S. cinemas on Monday, April 24, 2017 and Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. CT/ 6:00 p.m. MT/ tape-delayed to 8:00 p.m. PT and on a captured basis to U.S. cinemas on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. ET/ 3:00 p.m. CT/ 2:00 p.m. MT/ tape-delayed to 4:00 p.m. PT.

About TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today's leading thinkers and doers. Many of these talks are given at TED's annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, its TEDWomen conference and its TEDGlobal conferences—then made available, free, on TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.

TED's open and free initiatives for spreading ideas include TED.com, where new TED Talk videos are posted daily; the TED Radio Hour on NPR; TED-Ed, a service that pairs educators with animators to create lessons worth sharing; the annual million-dollar TED Prize, which funds exceptional individuals with a "wish," or idea, to create change in the world; TEDx, which provides licenses to thousands of individuals and groups who host local, self-organized TED-style events around the world; and the TED Fellows program, which selects innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
