In December 2016 the output prices 0.4% higher at the monthly level

Compared to November 2016, in December 2016 the output prices were 0.4% higher. The increase was the largest monthly rise in the output prices since March 2015, when prices also went up by 0.4%. The prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market and the prices of exported products both went up by 0.4%.

Both the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries and the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries increased (by 0.7% and 0.2%, respectively).

Among groups of activities showing the dynamics of prices by end-use of products, consumer goods prices increased by 0.6% and intermediate goods prices by 0.5%; energy prices and capital goods prices remained on average the same.

Compared to the previous month, output prices increased the most in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations and in manufacture of basic metals (both by 1.9%). On the other hand, prices decreased the most in other manufacturing (by 0.7%).

The output prices 0.5% higher than in 2015

In 2016 the output prices increased by 0.5% (in 2015 they decreased by 1.4%); on the non-domestic market they increased by 1.2% and on the domestic market they decreased by 0.2%.

The prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries increased by 2.3% and the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries by 0.6%.

In one year prices went up the most in manufacture of textiles (by 25.8%). On the other hand, a noticeable price decrease was recorded in electricity (by 4.2%).
