ATLANTA, July 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The State of Georgia is providing 10,000 high school sophomores and juniors across the state access to personalized YouScience Profiles in an effort to improve the state's workforce development and student outcomes. Georgia State Senator Lindsey Tippins and YouScience CEO Philip Hardin announced the partnership today at the Southern Regional Education Board conference in Atlanta, Ga. YouScience has developed the first online program that allows students to combine their aptitudes, interests, personality, academic strengths and career opportunities to confidently set a direction for education and career success.

Following on the heels of recent education Senate Bill 2 success, Tippins, who serves as Chairman of the Senate Education and Youth Committee, is leading the efforts to improve long-term career success for high school students by engaging them in an intentional career discovery process earlier in their education path.

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce has been investing in workforce development initiatives during the past year. On July 13, Senator Tippins and Lt. Governor Cagle briefed these business leaders on the policy changes and technology investments that allow students to better connect education and career.
