Belorusneft specialists have begun to estimate the reserves of South Shatilkovskoe oil field.
Production Association Belorusneft begins pilot exploitation of the wild cat well number 16 of South Shatilkovskoe oil field. It is located in Svetlogorsk region.
The geologists of the State Enterprise Scientific-Production Center of Geology of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus discovered a new oil field and gave it to Belorusneft along with geological and geophysical data on drilling, testing and research necessary for its development.
Well number 16 of South Shatilkovskaya was built in 2015. According to geophysicists' data, in the interval ranging from 2 880 to 3 070 m there were marked 3 oil-bearing intervals in inter-salt deposits of Oresski and Lebedyansky horizons. In test results we obtained in the column the inflow of light sweet crude oil. After the test production in well number 16 we plan to clarify the reserves of the South Shatilkovskoe oil field and to outline the next steps in its further exploration and development.
