Philippines' October net FDI lowest in 15 months

MANILA (Reuters) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Philippines dipped to its lowest in 15 months in October, but inflows in the first 10 months of 2018 were 1.8 percent higher compared to the year-earlier period, the central bank said on Thursday.

Net FDI in October totalled $491 million, just a quarter of the $1.9 billion inflows recorded in the same month in 2017.

Net inflows in January-October reached $8.53 billion compared with $8.38 billion in the same period in 2017, the central bank said in a statement.
