Campylobacter remains the most common cause of food poisoning in the UK. 50-80% of cases in the UK and other EU countries can be linked to raw poultry meat.

NFU are working closely with the FSA and other stakeholders on developing biosecurity guidelines to reduce campylobacter on farm. 

The NFU will be hosting a Campylobacter Conference at NFU HQ 28 March 2014 to bring together representatives from every link in the chain: primary production, processing, retail, research and development and consumers.
