NASDAQ : Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group and National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska United Srpska Parliamentary Club Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Head of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group Dr Aleksandar Martinovic met today at the National Assembly House with a delegation of the United Srpska Parliamentary Club of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. After the meeting the two parliamentary groups signed a Cooperation Agreement.

Martinovic said the agreement was subject of much discussion in the previous period and was signed a mere day after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's visit to the Republic of Srpska.

The Head of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group said he was most pleased to be able to receive the delegation of the United Srpska Parliamentary Club of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, adding that a lot has been done to strengthen the ties between Serbs in the region has in the previous period.

'Serbia is now one of the economically strongest countries in this part of Europe and is for the first time able to financially aid the Serb people in the Republic of Srpska', Martinovic stressed reminding the guests that the Serbian Government had in the last two years made a number of non-refundable investments into many different projects.

The Head of the United Srpska Parliamentary Club Kostadin Vasic explained that their party though fairly new, has in quickly become a parliamentary party and also participates in local government.

He said that cooperation with the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party is of utmost importance, followed by cooperation with other political parties in the region.

'It is a pleasure to sign this agreement with the Serbian Progressive Party which is our political role model and an example of how to achieve good results by pursuing a wise policy', Vasic stressed.

The meeting was also attended by MPs Veroljub Arsic, Dr Vladimir Orlic, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Aleksandar Markovic, Marijan Risticevic and Sonja Vlahovic who said that the preservation of language and culture, demographic renewal and increasing birth rates, as well as securing better prospects for young people would be some of the future topics of conversation.
