Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia : Reflection on Directorate General of Treasury’s Anniversary Day

Jakarta, 26/01/2017 MoF - Vice Minister of Finance Mardiasmo attended the reflection held on the 2017 Treasury Anniversary Day at the Mezzanine Hall, Wednesday (25/01). This event was held by the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPB) to commemorate the 13th years of DJPB on the January 14th. The participants of this event were stakeholders of DJPB, such as representatives of banks and financial institutions as well as Public Service Agency (BLU).

In his speech, Vice Minister of Finance appreciates DJPB's performance. According to him, DJPB has made several innovations, which are very beneficial for stakeholders receiving the DJPB's services.

Delivering the report, the Director General of Treasury Marwanto says that for over a decade, DJPB has recorded good achievements, namely several innovations and modernization as well as achievements earned. The innovations are building State Treasury and Budget System (SPAN), Institutional-Level Financial Application System (SAKTI), Second Generation of State Revenue Modul (MPN-G2), development of Spending Review, and accrual-based accounting implementation.

However, Vice Minister highlights the challenge faced by DJPB, that is achieving Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for Central Government Financial Statement (LKPP). Vice Minister is also aware that this is a tough job. Even though LKPP is under the responsibility of DJPB, it is a compilation of all financial statements, which are under the responsibility of all Ministries/Institutions.

'So, this is a huge job and it can only be done by MoF's employees who have internalized the values,' says Vice Minister of Finance. He further expects WTP opinion to be achieved, so that it will become the next achievement for DJPB and Ministry of Finance and the Government of Indonesia. (nr/rsa)
