Jakarta, 24/01/2017 MoF - Government of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam proposes to manage Special Economic Zones (KEK) of Arun Lhokseumawe. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution welcomes the proposal positively. The development of KEK will be under the Regional Development Company Consortium of Aceh (PDPA) and 3 State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
'With the cooperation of three SOEs and PDPA, the development of KEK will be faster than the previous one,' Darmin said as quoted from CMEA site on Tuesday (24/01).
Going forward, KEK Arun Lhokseumawe is expected to be a positive signal for economic growth in Aceh, as it is a synergy of BUMN and BUMD. Regarding the proposal, Darmin reminds Acting Governor of Aceh to submit a letter to the Minister of Home Affairs in order to avoid political issue. 'Because I want the KEK development is not disrupted by political matter,' he affirmed.(as/rsa)
