Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia : Minister of Finance Expects SOEs’ Leaders To Guide Subordinates

Jakarta, 26/01/2017 MoF - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati became one of the speakers in the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Executive Leadership Program (ELP), taken place at the Pertamina Ballroom, Jakarta on Wednesday (25/01). In this event, Minister explains Indonesia's Economy and Fiscal Policies Development. She explains that APBN (State Budget) management is not merely an instrument, which is completed annually. APBN should be maintained to become an effective, credible, and sustainable instrument.

In addition, as one of the agents that contributes to the government revenue through Non-Tax Revenue (PNBP), SOEs are expected to have performance increase in the next few years. Because State Capital Participation has been run since 2015 and 2016, it is expected to boost SOEs' performance.

In the event attended by the Directors of SOEs, Minister expects SOEs' leaders to not only be the role models but also coaches for stakeholders and staff. 'To be a good company, it is a function to you all to have the leadership and the same commitment, make the pledge not only integrity but also clear performance contract for being discipline,' affirms Minister of Finance.

Ending her explanation, Minister wishes all participants to have integrity commitment in doing the jobs. 'I want you all to be clear, no other agendas other than we want SOEs to be better. If there is something bad, I think it is about your performance,' she says. (ath/as)
