Online press conference at 16:00 Tokyo time
The OECD will present a new Economic Survey of Japan on Friday 3 December. The Survey examines the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on Japan's economy and makes recommendations to support the recovery, strengthen public finances and enhance resilience to future shocks. A special chapter looks at what Japan could do to broaden the digital transformation to improve productivity growth and well-being.
OECD Secretary-GeneralMathias Cormann will present the Survey's key messages and take questions at a virtual press conference hosted by the Japan National Press Club in partnership with the OECD Tokyo Centre starting at 16:00 Tokyo time (08:00 CET) on Friday 3 December. The event will be in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation.

To attend the press conference:
- Only members of the Japan National Press Club can register directly here.
- For journalists who are not members, please contact the OECD Tokyo Centre media manager Yumiko Yokokawa to complete your registration.
- Registration will close at 14:00 Tokyo Time (06:00 CET) on 3 December.
- By registering, a link to join the press conference will be sent to you one hour before the press conference starts.
- The Survey will be published at 16:00 Tokyo time at the following link, which can be included in news articles: www.oecd.org/economy/japan-economic-snapshot/.
- Journalists can request a copy of the Survey under embargo, thereby undertaking to respect the OECD's embargo procedures, by emailing embargo@oecd.org. Embargoed copies will be sent out 24 hours before the launch.
