The Index of Services in December 2017

□ In December, the Index of Services went up by 0.2 percent month-on-month owing to the increase in 'Accommodation and food service activities' and 'Wholesale and retail trade' despite the decrease in 'Financial and insurance activities' and 'Professional, scientific and technical activities'.

• ○ In December, the Index of Services grew by 2.2 percent year-on-year owing to the rise in 'Financial and insurance activities' and 'Wholesale and retail trade' in spite of the drop in 'Professional, scientific and technical activities' and 'Accommodation and food service activities'.
