TOKYO, July 5 (Reuters) - Japan's Government Investment Pension Fund (GPIF) reported on Friday an investment gain of 21.4 trillion yen ($133.3 billion) in January-March as equities rallied strongly in Japan and globally.

The world's largest pension fund gained 9.52% for the quarter, raising its total assets to 246 trillion yen ($1.53 trillion), it said in its 2023 annual report. ($1 = 160.5800 yen) (Reporting by Anton Bridge Editing by Chang-Ran Kim)
