Hogan Lovells has appointed a new M&A energy, natural resources and infrastructure partner in its London practice, with the arrival of Sarah Shaw from Allen & Overy.

Sarah is a seasoned M&A practitioner, with an impressive range of experience acting on major private and public M&A and ECM transactions, principally across the oil and gas, power, renewables and infrastructure sectors. Her experience includes both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Sarah advises a number of global energy clients and other corporate, infrastructure, private equity and sovereign wealth fund clients in the sector. Her practice includes a focus on Africa, and she advises funds and corporates that are active in the region.

Commenting on Sarah's arrival, David Gibbons, Global Head of Hogan Lovells Corporate Practice, said: 'I am delighted that Sarah is joining the firm. Her active client base and M&A and ECM capabilities will be a natural fit with our corporate transactional offering, and she will be a great addition to our already strong energy M&A practice in London. '

Ben Higson, London Head of Hogan Lovells Corporate Practice, added: 'Sarah is a first rate M&A practitioner, who has cross-sector expertise that will complement our London M&A practice and the firm's energy, infrastructure and natural resources capabilities. I am delighted to welcome her to the firm and very much looking forward to having her on board.'

Sarah Shaw commented: 'Joining Hogan Lovells is a very exciting moment in my career. The firm's global network and leading M&A credentials, and its strong energy and infrastructure focus, especially in London, and presence in Africa, fit well with my experience and client base. I am very much looking forward to joining the team.'
