Companies across Herefordshire with ambitions to going global or that want to expand their international reach are invited to a free 'First Time Exporter Breakfast' on Friday 22 January 2016. Meet with likeminded local companies and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) experts over breakfast, and enjoy a presentation from Local entrepreneur, Richard Frost from The Playhouse Company. Richard was Initially inspired to provide a wooden playhouse for his children, Richard started The Playhouse Company in 2001 servicing only the UK market. Today, The Playhouse Company exports bespoke playhouses worldwide from Romania to Dubai and has worked extensively with UK Trade & Investment. As you can see, the possibilities are endless when you go global with exporting. Businesses that sell overseas become 34% more productive in their first year, whilst those already selling overseas achieve 59% faster productivity growth than non-exporters. In Herefordshire and Worcestershire, from 2012 - 2015, 550 businesses have received and help and support from UKTI, and won a reported £68.9 million in overseas sales.

Whatever your sector, there's a market out there for your products or services. That goes for established markets, like the European Union (EU) and US, and high-growth markets such as Brazil, India, China, Colombia, Indonesia and others. Right now, there are UK small businesses out in the world selling tea to China, wine to France and boomerangs to Australia. The world wants to buy what we're selling.
