Young agriculturalists from ten Caribbean countries are meeting here this week as part of efforts to engage young people in the Caribbean Agricultural Policy process.

The four-day planning and study visit is being held to examine 'Youth Initiatives, lessons and best practices in policies regarding agricultural production and marketing of agricultural produce'.

It is the final in a series of events organised by the Caribbean Farmers' Network (CaFAN).

Chief Coordinator of CaFAN, Jethro Greene, said that the initiative facilitates youth engagement with the CARICOM Common Agricultural Policy as it relates to youth in agriculture and rural modernisation.
