Flatirons Solutions, a global provider of technical information management solutions for knowledge-driven industries including aviation, aerospace, shipping, rail, energy, and defense, is proud to announce the signing of a new agreement with American Airlines, Inc.

The agreement consolidates and extends prior contracts between Flatirons and American Airlines, providing the airline with access to a fully hosted solution for managing the publication of maintenance manuals, work cards, and other aviation technical documents vital to the operation of its fleet of nearly 1,000 mainline aircraft.

The CORENA Suite™ solution used by American Airlines includes the Flatirons Fleet Solution and Flatirons MRO Solution. Both allow authorized American employees to seamlessly incorporate new maintenance revisions from aircraft and component manufacturers, while concurrently managing ongoing internal and regulatory-driven updates. American and Flatirons also extended American’s use of Flatirons’ CORENA Pinpoint® Mobile viewer, used by thousands of technicians servicing American Airlines fleets in the field via tablets and other mobile device types.

Flatirons CEO, Geoffrey Godet, welcomed the agreement, stating that “Flatirons is proud of our strategic partnership with American Airlines, and its willingness to entrust a vital part of its business to our solution services team.”

Todd Christy, American Airlines vice president of Airline Operations Technology, added, “For more than a decade, Flatirons has been a partner in our global operations. Our renewal demonstrates our commitment to giving our employees the best tools and the information they need to do the jobs they perform so well.”

Further underscoring the strategic nature of the partnership, American Airlines was also an early adopter of Flatirons’ hosting services, which provide Software-as-a-Service access to CORENA Suite™ solutions to end-users worldwide.
