WIESBADEN- As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the basis of provisional data, the manufacturing sector saw turnover rise in real terms adjusted for seasonal fluctuations and working-day variations 3.0% in November 2013 compared with October 2013 (following a revised -0.2% in October 2013 compared with September 2013). Domestic turnover increased by 2.2%, the business with foreign customers rose 4.0%. Sales to euro area countries were 4.3% above preceding month's level, while sales to other countries went up 3.8%. 

Compared with the preceding year, real turnover in manufacturing showed a total increase of 5.0% in November 2013 after having been adjusted for working-day variations. Increases were observed in domestic sales (+2.3%), while turnover from business with foreign customers rose by 8.1%. Among foreign transactions, sales to euro area countries increased by 5.1% while turnover with other foreign countries ascended 10.2%. 

Cumulated from January to November 2013, the (working-day adjusted) turnover in manufacturing was 0.4% below the level of the same period of the previous year; domestic turnover fell 1.7% and foreign turnover increased by 1.1%.
