Calgary Fire Department Responds to a Garage Fire on 17 Ave North East
At approximately 3:20 am, the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 200 block of 17 Ave. NE following reports of a garage fire. On arrival crews reported a working fire with flames coming through the roof of a detached garage. Crews were able to cover the exposures and gain control of the fire by going to a defensive mode due to the amount of fire when first arriving on scene. Calgary Fire had several pieces of equipment on scene dealing with the fire and the cold weather. There were no injuries and the fire was contained to the detached garage. Fire investigators are on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
