On May 26, Mr. Tang Fuping, China Minmetals' Party Group Secretary and Chairman, along with his delegation paid a visit to Mr. Wang Zhengpu, Party Group Secretary and Head of the National Administration for Rural Revitalization, to report China Minmetals' arrangement of work on rural revitalization. Mr. Hong Tianyun, Party Group Member and Deputy Head of the National Administration for Rural Revitalization, presided over the meeting.

Wang Zhengpu spoke highly of the remarkable contribution made by China Minmetals in winning the battle against poverty in an all-round way. He applauded China Minmetals' high political stance, strong sense of innovation and pragmatic work style. He also pointed out that, China Minmetals has shouldered its mission and taken its responsibility by integrating and bringing into full play the strengths of central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and local governments, forming a sound working mechanism, and effective poverty alleviation modes through industries, finance and education.

Wang Zhengpu stressed that with the work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers entering a new stage of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating the agricultural and rural modernization drive, SOEs, as a major force in building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, should play a dominant role in promoting rural revitalization. He expressed his hope that China Minmetals, in the face of new requirements, would further give play to its own strengths and the resource endowment of the supported areas, continue to deepen innovation and reform, accelerate the arrangement of relevant work in 2021, allocate more resources to key supported counties, in a bid to make new contributions to speeding up the construction of beautiful countryside.

Tang Fuping expressed his gratitude to the National Administration for Rural Revitalization for its vigorous support and guidance for China Minmetals, introduced the development process, business system and characteristics of China Minmetals, as well as its consistent three principles of 'characteristic, targeted and sustainable' poverty alleviation, and shared China Minmetals' experience and practical experience in poverty alleviation through industrial chain, projects and overseeing closed-loop management.

Tang Fuping noted that, China Minmetals has enhanced its sense of responsibility and mission in recent years. In order to attain effective poverty alleviation, substantial resources have been allocated to fields such as people's livelihood, education, industries and finance. Various featured poverty alleviation modes were formed, such as alleviation through 'small and beautiful' industries, 'mineral core' vocational education programme, 'futures + insurance'. These have laid a solid foundation for the effective connection between consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

Tang Fuping pointed out that, China Minmetals will thoroughly study and implement the essence of important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, implement the requirements setting out at the Central Rural Work Conference and in the 2021 No. 1 Central Document, do practical things for the masses which is an essential part of the campaign of Party history learning and education, and carry out alleviation work in an orderly way in accordance with the requirements of the National Administration for Rural Revitalization and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), and provide comprehensive support for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
