ANCHOR (OFF-CAM) ENGLISH SAYING:

North Korea's been in the news the last couple of days, some pretty provocative headlines. If you are holding investments, how much of a worry should this be?

ANJUN ZHOU, MANAGING DIRECTOR, MELLON CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (ENGLISH) SAYING:

The bottom line is there is a much of a worry that the reason behind that is that there have been multiple rounds of threats, and there were bluffing over the years, so people who are locally who we talk to didn't think there was really a real deal. Plus, for the US and China and then all these stakeholders, if you will, nobody will want to see that conflict being escalated into a regional war or anything like that. That said, this is an untested leader, so we need to watch very carefully and very closely. But bottom line is that we haven't seen any material change in the market place in terms of the volatility, high cap, or anything like that. But that said, we again must or should watch and monitor closely.

But if you're currently invested in, say, South Korea or Japan or China or any area in Asia, and there are other countries too, of course, that have attracted some interest this year. For now, it's alright just to keep your positions the way they are?

ANJUN ZHOU, MANAGING DIRECTOR, MELLON CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (ENGLISH) SAYING:

That will be our advice. That said, for Mellon Capital, we look at emerging market countries as a complex and to look at the relative value across these countries. For example, in the Asian markets, right, for the Asian area, we look at China, we look at Korea. And in terms of emerging markets, we look at India and some other markets. And we like China and Korea in particular because of their valuation become, still continues to be attractive. The growth potential is higher, right, and also we also look at the cross-border trade linkages to look at how that can affect the earnings going forward. In all of these aspects, we think China and Korea are attractive with respect to India, for example, and other markets within Asia.
