BEIJING, Sept 7 - China imported 9.35 million metric tons of soybeans in August, according to Reuters calculations based on customs data published on Thursday.
Imports in the first eight months of the year by the world's top soybean buyer amounted to 71.65 million tons, up 17.6% from the year-earlier period, the data showed. (Reporting by Mei Mei Chu; Editing by Christopher Cushing)
