(MT Newswires) -- Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey says monetary policy will have to be restrictive for an extended period, as he argues against market bets on interest rates. He expects inflation to fall by the end of the year, but believes it will not fall back below 2%. He also anticipates very moderate growth for the UK in 2024.
