He was previously the Chief Financial Officer & Director of The Irvine Co. LLC from 1964 to 1989, President of Pacific Cos, Inc. from 1989 to 1992, Partner at The Contrarian Group, Inc. since 1992, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Executive VP of Candlewood Hotel Co., Inc. from 1995 to 2008, Consultant at Doubletree Hotels LLC in 1994, and Independent Director of First Foundation, Inc. from 2007 to 2019.
He also served as Chairman of California Taxpayers' Association and Director of Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. and The Real Estate Roundtable.
Mr. Fix received his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College.
