Stéphane Courbit

Stéphane Courbit is principally known for his career as a television producer. In 80-90 years, he cooperated with Christophe Dechavanne, whose the company “Coyote” produces TV shows such as "Combien ça coûte?”.

In the middle of 90s, he launched a company with Arthur called Arthur Stéphane Productions (ASP) and Case Productions which produces “Les enfants de la télé” and bought many of his competitors. In the early 2000, ASP will be bought by Endemol. Became CEO of Endemol France, Stephane Courbit has collected more than € 400 million of capital gains.

He tries to buy Endemol when the company Telefonica, which holds it, wants to sell it. It is the Italian Mediaset which gets Telefonica but thanks to this experience Stéphane Courbit establishes strong relationships as Bernard Arnault (LVMH), Jacques Veyrat (Neuf Cegetel) and Vincent Bolloré.

With Robert Louis-Dreyfus, who has just sold his stakes in Neuf Cegetel, he takes a part of the capital of the alternative operator of electricity and gas Direct Energy.
Clearly, Stéphane Courbit likes lines of businesses in process of deregulation: at the end of 2007, he is in competition to buy BetClic.com; a company specialized in money games online. In order to buy BetClic.com he uses the holding Manga Capital which Bernard Arnault and the Italian family Agnelli have shares.

Stéphane Courbit has also taken shares in the capital of Rentabiliweb by his company Financière LOV.
