Simon Staveley-Smith

Simon is responsible for legal and a number of operational aspects of LDC, including risk management, HR and other business support functions.
He is also a member of LDC’s leadership Team.
Since joining LDC in 2016, Simon has advised on, or been closely involved in, more than 100 M&A transactions, restructuring and realisation events.
His work touches every aspect of the LDC business and he provides commercial and solution-focused input to the firm and its portfolio.
Prior to joining LDC, Simon was senior counsel at alternative asset manager Renshaw Bay LLP.
He started his career at Slaughter and May where he advised corporates, private equity funds and financial institutions in cross border public and private M&A.
He has a first-class degree in History from Durham University.
