Bobby McGee serves as the Managing Partner of Mission Consumer Capital.
With more than 25 years of experience as a banker and entrepreneur, Mr. McGee served as head of Corporate Banking for JPMorgan Chase (formerly Texas Commerce Bank) in Houston before being named Chairman & CEO of Chase Bank in Fort Worth and Vice Chairman in Dallas, Texas.
During his 25 year banking career, Mr. McGee provided advice and arranged financing for acquisitions and corporate takeovers in the Oil & Gas Industry, Food Distribution, Retail and Transportation businesses.
Sample transactions include Mesa Petroleum’s targeted Gulf Oil and Unocal takeovers; Sysco Food’s acquisition of Sara Lee’s distribution business; the acquisition of Brookstone Retail Stores from Quaker Oats: Bain Capital and Drexel-Burnham’s acquisition of Palais Royal and Beall’s Brothers Department Stores; the Dillon Reed led buy-out of Hi-Lo Auto Parts and the Texas Ranger’s Baseball real estate purchase of the Ballpark at Arlington.
Mr. McGee has and continues to serve on numerous public and private corporate boards spanning Insurance, Banking, SBIC’s, Energy, Branded Consumer Products and Retail Businesses.
He is currently actively involved with numerous civic boards including the University of Texas, McDonald Observatory, Tarrant County College, Texas Christian University (TCU) Entrepreneurship Program, the O’Brien College Quarterback Award and WPO.
McGee is a 1977 graduate of the University of Texas Business School
