Until joining BV Group Ventures, he had been active as an advisor and consultant to high net worth individuals and financial institutions.
He has 35 years of experience in international financial activities.
Until the sale of the Republic Group to HSBC, he was an Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Republic National Bank of New York; Administrateur-Délégué of Republic National Bank of New York (Luxembourg) S.A.
and Chairman of Republic National Bank of New York (Russia).
He was a Member of the Executive Committees of Republic New York Corporation and Republic National Bank of New York (NYSE:RNB & a S&P500 company) and Safra - Republic Holdings S.A.
(LSE:SRH), responsible for the international institutional activities of the Republic Group.
He was instrumental in the establishment and management of Republic’s global office network.
He was responsible for a risk portfolio of approximately $400 billion.
Prior to Republic, he was Vice-President & Manager of Wells Fargo Bank International in New York.
He started his banking career at American Fletcher National Bank (now BancOne) stationed in Indianapolis, Indiana as well as in Luxembourg, where he established and managed AFNB’s first foreign branch, and in Geneva, Switzerland.
A native of the The Netherlands and an American citizen, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and an Executive MBA Certificate from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management, London, England.
