Richard P. Rush

Mr. Rush, CCE, Certified Chamber Executive, has served as President and CEO of The State Chamber, Oklahoma's Association of Business & Industry since September 1987.
Under his leadership, The State Chamber has done a tremendous job representing Oklahoma businesses at the State and Federal levels of government, saving business millions of dollars in unjust laws and regulations.
Before coming to Oklahoma, he was Regional Manager of the United States Chamber of Commerce Southwestern Regional Office in Dallas for nearly six years and spent four years with the California chamber of Commerce as a specialist in developing a Legislative Action Program for small business.
His twenty-six year chamber career began at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
He later assumed the position of Executive vice president and General Manager for the Sam Rafael Chamber of Commerce.
He received his CCE designation in October 1989.
The State Chamber became the first state chamber in the nation to be accredited in December 1990 and re-accredited in 1995.
