Dr. Campion brings board room scientific advisory panel experience and extensive energy experience.
He has recently retired after a long career in administrative and research positions in various disciplines.
The bulk of his career was spent in the oil and gas industry, as a research scientist with Exxon Research and Engineering Co. in New Jersey and later with Exxon's domestic affiliate, Exxon Co. USA in Houston, Texas.
After leaving Exxon, he assumed the leadership of the National Urban Air Toxics Research Center, a 501c3 non-profit center chartered by the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1991 and supported by funding from both the US EPA and private sector companies such as DuPont, Exxon, Sun, Phillips, Rohm & Haas, etc.
Dr. Campion served as the first President and CEO of NUATRC, from 1993 through 2002.
During this period, he was appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Environment, Safety and Health Studies at the University Of Texas School Of Public Health.
After leaving NUATRC, he was appointed to the Executive Board of Northwest Assistance Ministries, a public assistance organization, for whom he later served as President of the Executive Board.
Dr. Campion received the Ph.D in Physical and Radiochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and later served in a postdoctoral position at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York.
