Dr. Klinman recently retired from his position as a Professor in the Department of Immunology at The Scripps Research Institute, where he had been since 1978.
He also has served as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of California, San Diego.
Prior to that, Dr. Klinman was at the University of Pennsylvania where he was on the faculty as Professor of Pathology and Microbiology in the School of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor at The Wistar Institute.
Dr. Klinman is internationally recognized for his work on immuno-regulation, monoclonal antibody responses, humoral immunity and B cell maturation and repertoire expression.
He is widely known as a pioneer in the field of monoclonal antibodies.
Dr. Klinman received a Ph.D.
from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.D.
from Jefferson Medical College.
