Attara Capital seeks to achieve superior long-term capital appreciation primarily by using a fundamental research-intensive, value-driven strategy to invest long and/or short in publicly traded equity securities, including equity derivative securities, of companies worldwide. They look to identify companies that are being undervalued by the market and are trading at a discount to their intrinsic or fundamental value and which they expect to appreciate in value, often due to a catalyzing event or change in circumstances, including regulatory or legislative change, changing business models, significant corporate events such as mergers, spin-offs, recapitalizations, litigation, strategic realignments and other major changes.
