Monica Lee

Monica brings several years' experience as both a venture capital associate and an entrepreneur, including co-founding CityAuction, a consumer Internet auction site later acquired by Ticketmaster (TMCS).
Her investment interests are in the software, Internet infrastructure, streaming, and data security areas.
At CityAuction, she wrote the company's business plan, raised venture financing from Charter, ran customer service, and guided development of new auction services.
As head of business development, Monica also negotiated and launched more than 12 corporate partnerships to provide co-branded, hosted auction solutions for companies in the retailing, sports, real estate, music, and Internet portal businesses, including CitySearch, AOL-Time Warner's Spinner, and CNet/NBCi's Snap.com.
Prior to that, Monica was an associate Charter Ventures, working on various investments in the Internet, software and medical device sectors, including analytics software leader WhiteLight Systems, Vesta Medical (acquired by Pfizer) and Match.com (acquired by Ticketmaster).
Earlier in her career, she held various roles in marketing and business development at Chemical Bank, Match.com and Sun Microsystems.
For a leading Japanese telecom equipment reseller's technology arm, she spent more than 3 years negotiating U.S-Japan technology licensing deals and distribution agreements for its Japanese corporate clients, spanning consumer products to medical goods and industrial technologies.
Monica founded of WildCard Group, Inc., a Silicon Valley community of more than 4,000 professionals, from entrepreneurs to MBA alumni, who gather regularly to network at WildCard Wednesday happy hours and other events with a cultural, educational or outdoor sports focus.
WildCard also provides start-up recruiting services and other community resources.
Monica holds a BA in psychology from Harvard University and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
