Profile
Mr. Michael Roch is a Senior Portfolio Manager of Real Estate Debt Strategies at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. He is currently responsible for managing the investment management debt platform.
Prior to this, Mr. Roch was head of the capital markets group and invested in subordinate debt, structured leverage debt positions, subscription lines, secured real estate credit facilities and warehouse lines.
He also managed MetLife Investment Management’s real estate private equity fund.
Mr. Roch joined MetLife in 1985 and has served in various investment capacities, including real estate asset management, mortgage loan production and portfolio management.
In 2001, he was promoted to head of the CMBS unit and managed a $12 billion diversified bond portfolio.
In 2004, he became a voting member of the Real Estate Investment Committee.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Drew University and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
