Ambient Sound Investments OÜ (ASI) is an Estonian investment firm which was established as an equal partnership in 2003 by four founding engineers at Skype Technologies. Based in Tallinn, Estonia, the firm manages the partners' assets and focuses on technology projects. The firm works closely with their wholly-owned subsidiaries, ASI Private Equity AS and ASI Incubator OÜ, established by the founders to allow friends and colleagues from Skype to invest jointly with ASI, and to extend the firm's contact network and competence base. The firm aims to provide resources for projects which lack key people on the team, helping them to become independent start-ups.
