In addition to his role with Voyager Management, Mr. Mendes is the founder of Blantyre Advisors, LLC, an advisory firm based in New York.
Before founding Blantyre in 2004, Mr. Mendes oversaw hedge fund due diligence at Montrose Advisors where he evaluated current and prospective hedge fund investments for a $100 million portfolio.
From 1998 to 2001, he was a research analyst at Merrill Lynch, analyzing and rating investment managers.
Prior to that, he spent eleven years as a financial journalist at Fortune and CNN, where he interviewed a great many fund managers.
Mr. Mendes received a MPA in 1995 from Harvard University and a BA from Dartmouth College in 1984.
