Mr. John D.
Melvin is a Managing Director & Head of Public Sectors and Strategic Opportunities at Hartford Investment Management Co. He is a leading member of the firm’s Investment Strategy Committee, contributing to the firm’s investment strategy process and the development of HIMCO’s strategic outlook and asset allocation views.
Previously, he was HIMCO’s Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Management, where he oversaw the management of client portfolios, as well as the firm’s public fixed income and equity investment capabilities.
He joined HIMCO in 2015.
