He was a member of the Board of Directors of Marathon Technologies, Inc. from 1996 to 2004.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Turbine Entertainment Software Corporation, a producer of massive multiplayer online games.
He is currently Chairman and founder of Audeon Networks, Inc. a network design and implementation company.
Mr. Salwen is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Network Communication Council and was its Chairman in 1996.
He also serves on the Oversight Committees of The Museum of Science and the Bank of America Celebrity Series.
He has served as the New England chapter chairman of the IEEE Communications Society and has contributed his time and efforts to numerous IEEE meetings and functions over the past 40 years.
Mr. Salwen has a BSEE and MSEE from MIT that were received in 1958 and 1962, respectively.
